This creamy tram sauce combines tamarind, mayonnaise, chili garlic, and lime into a rich, tangy dip that’s ready in minutes. Bold and balanced, it’s perfect for noodles, tofu, or wraps.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1–2 tablespoons water (optional, to thin the sauce)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine tamarind paste and lime juice. Stir until smooth.
- Add mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce, and soy sauce to the bowl.
- Whisk the mixture until fully blended and creamy.
- Stir in brown sugar and mix until dissolved.
- Add water gradually if you prefer a thinner consistency.
- Taste and adjust for sweetness, heat, or acidity.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors blend before serving.
Notes
- For a vegan version, use plant-based mayonnaise.
- Add extra chili garlic sauce for more heat.
- The sauce keeps for 5–7 days in the fridge in an airtight container.
